iPad version completed and submitted to Apple for review

Hi.

Sorry I haven't been posting for quite some time.

I have been very busy dealing with my second new born son for the last 6 months while sacrificing quite a few precious sleep hours to complete the iPad version of the game.

Unfortunately the iPad version is not Universal. I have made a few changes that can't be supported by both platforms, mainly user interface and memory related issues.

I have fixed a few issues with the collision physics, changed the music and many other small fixes.

The bigger improvement is the new control layout and camera FOV. It lets the player enjoy the views while being clear and concise.

The Menus have also been changed.

Let me know any comments that you might have. I really hope you like it.

  1. Nice layout for the iPad. Hope Apple can process the submission quickly.

  3. Firstly, congratulations on the new addition to your family. The fact that you're able to sleep, let alone develop an iPad version of your beautiful sim is, frankly, amazing.

I am little disappointed it won't be universal (following the posted and then hastily removed post that it _might_ be) but I understand there are challenges in doing this and only a finite amount of time (especially for a bloke with a new bairn). I said I'd pay for an iPad version on my appstore review of the iPhone version and I certainly will.

Are there any plans to roll the 'training missions' into the iPad version? I see them referenced in the posts below but nowhere on the appstore... In any case, I'm sure it'll look fantastic on the iPad and it'll be interesting to see how the new button layout works on the Mini.

It'll also be interesting to see how the iPhone version works on the iPad and Mini with the proposed iOS7 changes for utilising Retina assets when displaying iPhone Apps on the iPad (possibly avoiding the pixellated look it gets today).

  4. Love the simulation, have been waiting for an iPad version since the iPhone version came out. Any chance of turning your skills to recreating something like Microsoft's Space Simulator on the iPad, still miss that sim after nearly 20 years!

  5. Fabulous! I have the iPad version and am enjoying it immensely. Have tried to leave a glowing review on the App Store several times but no joy so far. One thing I would like to suggest is an option to flip the screen. Only because when I use headphones the input jack gets in the way of the controls on the left. Well done sir, truly "Stella work" :)

  6. A great Space Simulator with authentic radio messages and realistic control system.
Now you can enjoy earth from an astronaut's view.
Please add full HD Retina Images as well as the option to rotate the screen!
A Universal App would also be quite nice. Besides, implementing some other space-3D-models such as ISS or even some Startrek-Ships would be great to see in a future release.
Fascinating and very entertaining, love it!

  7. I Installed the iPad version today. Unfortunately, docking does not seem to work. do I have to dock backwards? I tried 3 or 4 times now, and each time I run out of oxygene while standing for the docking port. The 2 right alignment controls are centered, but do not turn green. What am I missing?

  8. You dock backwards. Is there any news on future mission being added?
